After reading the composition of request about time management, I believe in that keeping silence would be better than telling some experience of my time management, unless someone had wanted to be late as frequently as me. Then I am thinking to talk about another time topic: Mtime.
Mtime is a movie information website like IMDb, in which people could mark movies. Considering I am a SEOer who is going to talk about a website, which never pay any promotion fee to me, I wouldn’t put any link of Mtime to this article.
About nine years ago, I was watching a suspense theme TV show named LOST. There were so many questions about it, that I had to search some film reviews to help me understand the story. I immediately found a god-like movie critic, crazy diamond, who was a psychology student and his main blog was in Mtime. I read LOST review at first, then I found other film reviews also very wonderful in his blog. The most impressive one must be the review of Mulholland Dr. which is a film directed by David lynch. The article opened a door for me to the way from finding funny movies to finding deep thinking movies. To be honest, some movies is not easy to watch. It’s hard to enjoy the stories, but I continued to do it. Some do things for happiness, some for harvest. It encouraged me to watch hard movies.
Well, some readers would ask me what kind of movie is hard movie? It depends on yourself. Nine years ago, I used to enjoy Hollywood movies, then Stanley Kubrick would be hard movies. And now, David lynch is still hard movies. I am sure I will never watch Inland empire again, which I used to watch two times.
It’s so happy that following crazy diamond entered Mtime forums, in which people watch movies and TV shows then talk about it together. I found more and more friends in forums, and sometimes I would also write movie reviews on the Mtime blog.
Coincidentally, at the same time, I met a Mtime offline group named spring time, which organized people to watch movie together in the weekend. After I joined it, we watched public movies in cinema on Saturday afternoons and watched private movies in a coffee shop on Sunday afternoons.
As I was positive to take part of it, and quickly became an administrator of spring time. I organized public movies several times and private movies once. The only time private movie I organized was inland empire. I said I will never watch it again, for it is too hard to understand. But at that time, I was a stupid youngster. I wanted to play a hard movie, which nobody could understand, then as my stupid logic, I will be respected by others.
You could guess what would happen? One of my friend left, and some went to sleep. When most of viewers with a host of questions after watching the movie, I should have made a presentation to explain the movie. However, I couldn’t do it, because I did not understand the movie as well. I only prepared a smart answer. I said: ’It’s a good movie, even I couldn’t understand it. Sometimes you could find a beauty without understand. It’s the same logic with this movie. I found it’s a beauty, so I take it to you.’ Well, it’s totally some rhetoric words. What I really wanted to do was I wanted to make others know I could watch such hard movies. It’s completely pretentious behavior. Fortunately, they seemed to accept my view.
I left Mtime after 2011. I love that time with friends to watch and to talk about movies, and I love Mtime. But I had to go. I had to follow the way of life.
Life is such thing you couldn’t know what will happen at the next moment. That is why I choose to enjoy it.
